Islam; a religion often heard about in the news for many of the wrong reasons these days. However, it is not the religion itself at fault, but its own followers, Muslims are the main cause of the misinformed opinion of the religion that is shared by many people. The book The Trouble With Islam Today by Irshad Manji does a good job asking questions about the religion itself that too many people were afraid to ask at the time of writing. It is safe to assume that many of the Muslims who did not stand up were ones who lacked the knowledge and education to fully back the religion in times of struggle. Nobody expects everyone to be an intellectual or an expert on a religion. However, for Islam to be taken more seriously, more effort is needed by the majority of Muslims to be more involved in learning and educating others about the Quran and teachings of the Prophet
