The Remix Project was the assignment that I feel we were given the most freedom with. The directions were simple; create a video that helps you become more aware of the rhetorical choices you make. We were allowed to adopt pieces from our previous papers in order to complete this task. What did each project teach us, who was our audience in each piece, and what rhetorical devices were used were the kinds of questions we pondered. One of the most important questions we asked ourselves was how did the pieces we composed fit together.
What I learned that certain events may occur and it will change your thought over something. The steps I had to take was to write a outline overview of what my essay was going to be like and think about the argument and claims I had to pick to support it and find quotes in the book that support my claims. We had to do timed essay about are theme of the essay were going to on. The way we wrote the essay was in TIED format because it would be easier to introduce the claim and back it up with evidence and finally discuss what it means. The leadership skill I used was to complete project effectively because I had to concentrate what I was writing about.

English 1010 Assignments Boost My Reading and Writing Skills By tackling the five assignments of English 1010, I learned several important concepts. From the Literacy Narrative assignment, I learned how to use the Show, Don't Tell principle. The Rhetorical Analysis assignment enabled me to learn how to evaluate content for the ethos, pathos and logos components. Thanks to the Non-Academic Discourse assignment, I learned how to treasure non-academic discourse.
The entire assignment was basically creating a presentation on a genre we found on our own to show our understanding of the concept. At the beginning of this class I thought that all of the writing assignments were going to be extremely hard, but after this assignment I realized that these assignments really aren’t going to be too difficult. I think this is due to the Writing as a Process SLO and that fact that it really helps break things into easy understandable parts that flow into one another. We have reached the end of the semester unconsciously. During this semester, we’ve practiced and improved our writing by outlining, composing, editing, and revising. Throughout the process, I discovered my strengths and weaknesses, meanwhile, I tried hard to refine my writing skills. By now, we have focused on a few types of writing: rhetorical analysis, critical analysis, and argument. Remembered our first in-class essay was a rhetorical analysis of an argument.

Amy Mendoza Amanda Hult English 200,Per 3 Syllabus Response After thoroughly analyzing the course syllabus for English 200 I have exposed myself to the challenges, expectations and resources available to me in order to receive the grade I want in this course. Firstly I want to discuss the differences between this English college-level course as opposed to taking English 12 at my high school. One example is all 200 English courses offered through Mendocino college, all students are required to enroll in a writing lab. Which is a free resource available to every student and a mandatory step required to receive credit on final your draft. Which can be completed online or in person throughout the whole week.
Throughout my education, writing strategies persisted to be a challenge for me. I dreaded writing because I could never find ways to transition my thoughts from my mind to the paper. Ironically, a class that petrified me due to the amount of required writing ended up helping me in numerous ways. English 1301 and my professor prepared me for college and real life by giving me a foundation of effective learning strategies.

I don 't know if you would remember me or not but I had my INT 101 with you my first semester. It was Understanding Self and Others and we discussed race, ethnicity, and segregation nearly every class and we had to write journals discussing these topics. The reason I decided to email you is because I 've thought a lot about those journals I wrote. I remember that I was constantly arguing that people should get over the past and we should just ignore the past in order to heal and realize now that I was ignorant.
Writing has always been an issue but yet interesting subject of mine. As hard as I try and write essays, and papers I just can’t get the hang of writing. But after taking this class, I did learn different writing technique and improved my writing proficiency, material body of formatting, and how to uncovering and properly use sources. Through class exams, essays, and a research paper, I was able to learn new writing skills. Although I have learned a variety of things, my writing still needs improvement.

I had a couple of questions as to what I should expect in this specific course such as: How many papers would we be expected to write? Would we be assigned a lot of homework? As my course started to progress my questions about what I should expect were soon answered. My expectations became clearer because I found out things such as, the course followed a schedule with specific number of assignments, we would have significant amount of time to complete each project. Starting my first independent essay, I was nervous because I have to go above and beyond when researching in order to get a good grade.
