There are several similarities and differences between the insider and outsider Action Research conduction processes. Insider Action Research appears to require the researcher to have a sufficient awareness of their organization, their research intentions, and potential contributions. Coghlan and Brannick (2014) states that researchers should specifically address context, action, researcher, and the insider process (Coghlan & Brannick, 2014).
