I was also very active in acquainting myself with those in my community. Moreover, I contributed to programmatic success by being equitable, strategic and incredibly receptive to feedback. I have also authored, and am currently publishing, award-winning research in clinical psychology pertaining to how stigma, prejudice, and racial bias affect how Black people obtain the help they need in clinical settings. In addition to my academic background, the past 18 months for me have been about taking an intentional, more proactive approach to furthering my knowledge. I am very fortunate to have helped over 1,000 homeless individuals in Washington and Oregon as a homeless advocate.
