I am the only one in college while the rest of the employees were finished after high school.

It explains how even in this day in age when all people are considered equal we still major social and economic differences in our society and in turn our workplaces. In this chapter it discusses that even with the growth of diversity throughout the world it may not be equally happening in the workplace. Racial discrimination is still a concept seen in the modern day. Racial discrimination is the unequal treatment towards a group based off of their race, color, or ethnicity. “A 2001 survey, for example, found that more than one-third of blacks and nearly 20% of Hispanics and Asians reported that they had personally been passed over for a job or promotion because of their race or ethnicity (Schiller 2004),” writes Devah Pager and Hana Shepherd in their article The Sociology of Discrimination. This proves that racial discrimination is still present during the process of employment. Citizens not only experience discrimination in the work field, they also experience it at school, stores, movies, theaters, or while seeking health care.

Equality is about promoting person centred care and equal opportunities as well regardless of a person’s age, gender, race, beliefs or disabilities.
Diversity in relation to people basically means we are all different. This could include our age, gender, where we live, our religious beliefs to how we dress. All these factors make us all individual and unique. Equality means we are all entitled to be treated fairly. We should all be given the same rights.

Furthermore, these issues are discussed because they are constantly the debatable topics in the workplace. was photographing a particularly heavy spraying session going on over the skies of Raynham, Massachusetts (in America) the other day, as I have become wont to do. That 's when I noticed a strange man wearing a dark suit was watching me. His suit was of a strange cut, and the man was darkish skinned and foreign looking, but not Brazilian, which are the only foreigners you see much around here. He was wearing a somewhat ill-fitting dark suit and tie in a rural suburban town on a 95 degree day. He appeared to input some things into a smartphone, when he saw that I saw him.

The theme of diversity can be categorized in the ethical principle of respect for others. Everyone is unique in their own way because knowing the fact that you can show your true colors, is what brings peoples attention to wanting to get to know one another and know more about that unique individual.
My heart was a drum constantly palpitating in attempt to keep something alive; in this case it was my adrenaline filled body. Diversity was spread among the talents that put on a show, but after waiting for hours, four men that called themselves Fall Out Boy strode onto the pitch platform just anticipating creating memories. Blaring beats started playing encouraging the crowd to gombol to the angsty song. Glimmering strobe lights illuminated beads of sweat down their flushed cheeks as the scent of sweat invaded my nostrils and the ballad carried on.
