(A Discussion of Adopting a Global Language) The diversity in our world is what makes it so beautiful and utterly unique. Because of the many cultures and the colorful histories they have, many interesting and amazing people exist today. Technology has been connecting many people who are so isolated from each other that they never would have been in contact if not for that. With the increasing communication the issues that come along with it, a question is raised as to whether or not a singular global language should be adopted. This should not happen because if only one language was used across the planet then many wondrous aspects of different cultures will be lost. Initially, all of the languages would have to be merged into one, and that would cause numerous words to be gotten rid of. Some would be willing to learn other languages but even then, a great amount of people refuse to do even that. So many people find comfort in their language and culture and would have an extremely difficult time adjusting to another language completely. People would resist the change and fight to keep their heritage and language. It would also be redundant to try to have one language because dialects would most certainly develop. The language would change again, seeing as that is the pattern that the world seems to follow. Because of dialects, more language barriers would be created and the singular language would have to be constantly revised. Having one language is not a fool-proof plan and it seems rather tedious. On the other hand, there would be many arguments on deciding which language would be used, if any at all. Adopting only one language would cause many complications and make many situations extremely
