1. When I first began reading this piece of work I knew I was going to enjoy it! The reason for this was because it reminded me of Romeo and Juliet! I also realized that this story was told in the third person through an unknown person as the narrator. I also realized that towards the middle it got a bit confusing for me that sometimes I had to take a minute and go back to assure I understood everything.
Shakespeare 's A Midsummer Night’s Dream depicts a number of human truths including: lust, disappointment, confusion, deception, choice, betrayal, and marriage. The story begins with Hermia refusing to comply with her father Egeus 's wish for her to marry Demetrius. In response, Egeus turns to a law requiring a daughter to marry a prospected man chosen by her father, or else face death or lifelong chastity as a nun. Faced with this dilemma, Hermia and her lover Lysander elope by going into the forest. Hermia tells this to her best friend Helena, but Helena in turn reveals the plan to Demetrius in an attempt to win back his favor.
Imagine you are Bottom, and you wake up finding your friends running in fear, once they see you. You, Bottom, are the “victim” in this dramatic irony example. Dramatic Irony is when the audience, or other characters know something that the character doesn’t. Throughout the play, dramatic irony is used to build tension and humor in the play. During the play, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, there were also other examples of dramatic irony besides Bottom.
A Midsummer Night's Dream seems like only a dream. The plots were twisted and misinterpreted, briefly from my own personal reading. I started wondering "what is going to happen here?" The Commedia Dell' Arte archetypes or stock characters as some refer reveal behaviors in these players of Shakespeare. From other research and my classmates responses, I found that the three worlds are also the three main groups of Commedia Dell' Arte.

Like almost all writers, Shakespeare uses a wide variety of literary elements to create the story’s components. A major literary element within A Midsummer Night’s Dream is metaphor. Merriam-Webster defines metaphor as “a figure of speech in which a word or phrase literally denoting one kind of object or idea is used in place of another to suggest a likeness or analogy between them” (Merriam-Webster, Incorporated). Some people feel that it`s quite challenging locating differences between a written story and its film, though, however, some people find it considerably simple to detect differences between the pair. A Midsummer Nights Dream was undoubtedly great cinematic film made in 1999. However, the written play of A Midsummer Nights Dream was much more detailed and more informational. The differences I noticed were the following: The Indian boy and his role, the setting, characters and examples of similarities. First of all, the primary anomaly I noticed implies the Indian boy and his role during the piece.

As a student in high school, life was dramatic and challenging. I was not ready to face huge changes during my freshmen year, and I often thought life was as easy as breezing through a straight tunnel. Then, I started seeing many gifted and talented students struggle and fall behind in high school, and I feared that I would be the next victim in line. Gradually, I learned step by step to grow and adjust to the changing environment, like a metamorphosis from a caterpillar to a butterfly. I became more determined to earn success in academics and athletics; most importantly, I found out who I am: a small girl with a big heart to change the world.
