Relentless in the Arena The toughest sport on dirt. Unbelievably, people do not realize how big the sport of rodeo is in America. Trevor Brazile, a 24-time world champion, has teamed up with one of the biggest companies in the industry to create a brand of his own. Brazile has collaborated with Ariat to create a brand for rodeo athletes and their equine partners called Relentless. In this advertisement, he goes through the science and understanding of the brand and their products. Using visual elements as well as all the rhetorical appeals, Brazile educates and elaborates on the process of creating the products and why he thinks the technology will be the best in the arena for cowboys. Brazile states “I was in the lab with motion capture sensors all over my arm and going through the same movements I did in the arena.” While he was saying this, they showed videos of him in the lab and taking part in each step of the process. He then goes on to show himself using the product in the arena at practice. The audience can trust this product and believe it will be what the advertisement states, as a 24-time world champion, not only uses it but also takes lots of time to ensure that the product will be the best. They show the science and the steps, so the audience knows the process and what went into creating the shirts. Finally, the biggest rhetorical appeal used would be pathos. There is lots of emotion in this advertisement. Not sad or pitiful, but determined and understanding. There are lots of clips and statements throughout this advertisement made in hopes that they will gain the audience's attention and make them feel trustworthy and want to be a part of the brand. Throughout this whole advertisement the main use is pathos, you cannot get through to someone and want them to support you without having some sort of connection or feelings towards your
