The main characters in “Taking Flight” , “Romeo and Juliet” Mabunity and Juliet can be viewed as complementary or divergent. The authors Michaela Deprince and Shakespeare both propose their characters tone, sense and personality in a collateral interpretation. Although they share many similar components, Mabunity and Juliet distinctively differ sharing different backgrounds and wealth. In the “Taking Flight” and “Romeo and Juliet”, both writers display a vivid image of their character 's heroism connecting it with their maturity throughout their advancement in the novel. Mabunity began her life in a crucial environment where she was raised during war. At a young age, Mabunity experienced resilient conditions that led to her parents death. When an immense storm hit the orphanage, Mabunity found a picture of a beautiful ballerina in a magazine and since then she had dreamt of becoming as contented as the ballerina. Although she struggled in her early stages, Mabunity kept her parent’s promise to travel to United States of America, her fortitude and endurasim conducted to her success as a ballerina. At the time Mabunity was in the orphanage and she knew that her number (27) meant that she would get the least amount of food and that the Auntie that is taking care of them hated Mabunity because of her spots, she immediately started to find a way to win her back. All the kids were afraid of Auntie, except for Mabunity, when a lightning struck besides Mabunity, she didn’t hesitate and insisted Mabunity Suma that she is a witch. Mabunity knew that Aunt Fatima was watching so she performed her “voodoo powers” in front of the orphanage kids to scare the Aunt.
