Development of Corrections

From the beginning of time going back decades ago, there has been some of criminal system in place for those whom behave badly to be punished. Not everyone is out there breaking the laws it is the other hand full of them that are In fact, it is an unfortunate that there are some individual’s that break the laws and for their criminal actions there are consequences. The laws and rules of the community of state is authorized by government official’s that are in position to make that call or judgment. As result of this the historical evolution of punishments and corrections developed, in contrast to the earlier methods of corrections in particular regarding equity in treatment or punishments, also comparing the goals as well as intended outcomes of jails in at least 3 areas of the united states.

The criminal that break the laws of the community are punished accordingly when it comes to the justice system. In the 17th century there were several different techniques that they used as a form of punishment. The ancient Greece used methods of execution, banishment, and exile. In fact, the correctional system in place have a population of both men and women incarcerated. In addition with the ever growing population of inmates causes the eyebrow to rise with the over crowdedness. Back then the population of women that are in jails or prison have increase from 107,518 in 2005 to a 776% from the 1970 until 2005. Moving forward, in these same jails and prisons the equity in treatment sparked high controversy.
