Choices, what exactly does it mean to get to choose, and to what extent? When does the government get to say enough is enough and take right to choose away. Abortion is one of the most heated and controversial debates still in America. The abortion debate will never be solved, simply because it is an argument over what someone thinks is right, but what each individual thinks is right, is actually different. There are many aspects to look at when it comes to the topic of abortion and it is something no individual should be closed minded about, or at least according to David Daleiden. First off abortion is one of those topics people are always told not to talk about in public. However like Daleiden said it is important to understand where the other side is coming from especially in politics and heated debates like this where the upcoming generation is going to have a lot of say. This article is about abortion, but it is mainly consists of having to deal with defunding Planned Parenthood. Again from Daleiden himself he stated, “ It’s really important to be able to understand other people’s viewpoints,” however Daleiden does not even mention anything positive Planned Parenthood does, or even addresses the other services it provides such as, anemia testing, cholesterol and diabetes screening, physical exams, flu vaccines, help with quitting smoking, high blood pressure, and so much more. It is easy to say defund Planned Parenthood and abortions or just give women the right to do what they want, but there is so much more to it. I use to consider myself very one sided when it came to the abortion debate, as it was easy just to say what i thought without actually researching and talking about it. As society changes so does the beliefs of the people. In Roe vs. Wade (1973) the ruling was in favor of women having a choice, but has society changed to the point where we believe in taking that choice
