One of the many things that people have different opinions about is abortion. An abortion is, “The termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus during the first twelve weeks of gestation” defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Abortions have definitely always been and will probably continue to be the most argumentative subject that not everyone will agree on. There are two groups, pro-life or pro-choice, and everybody has their own opinion about them both. In The Free Dictionary by Farlex, “pro-life is advocating the legal protection of human embryos and fetuses, especially by favoring the outlawing of abortion on the ground that it is the taking of a human life.” Pro-choice is the exact opposite of pro-life. Pro-choice is for abortion, basically saying that there is no wrong for killing the baby inside of the mother. Pro-choice which are for abortion, believe that the baby is alive when it can provide on its own. Whether you believe it or not, the life of a baby starts way before the baby is born. “The life of a baby starts when the sperm and ovum meet to form a single cell. Out of the countries there are millions of unborn babies killed each year. Over 40 million unborn babies have not made it past pregnancy in 40 years because they have made abortions legal” (National Right To Life). In 1973, the Supreme Court legalized abortions in the United States and it is called, Roe vs. Wade, saying that “Americans’ right to privacy included the right of the woman to decide whether to have children, and the right of a woman and her doctor to make that decision without state interference” (McCarthy, M.
