Abraham LIncoln had a pretty miserable childhood. Lincoln was born in 1809 in rural Kentucky to a poor family(Underdog). Lincoln's mother,Nancy Lincoln, died when he was only nine. He received little education throughout his childhood (Underdog).Lincoln’s parents were illiterate and he received little education himself(Abraham).He wanted to learn more and did everything he could to get a book (Abraham). When his mother died Lincoln became very lonely and soon after his mother's death his father brought home a new wife, Sarah Bush Johnston(Abraham). Sarah was very affectionate towards Lincoln and he grew to love Sarah (Abraham). When he was in his twenties his family moved to Indiana and then Illinois(Underdog). Lincoln tried to start a business
