Academic integrity is a moral policy that universities have. It means that you should always completing your work honestly on your own. In order to achieve this you must avoid trying to plagiarize or cheat your way into getting your work completed. This topic is very important to discuss about, because it is one rule that seems to be quite often broken a lot. Academic integrity is important to maintain because it is an example of your character. The value of fairness was broken, because I took that extra advantage over other students when it was not necessary to do at all. Finally, responsibility was broken because, I was not responsible and procrastinated on my work which was the cause of all of this to begin with and I fell to the pressures of wrongdoing. I should have been responsible enough to avoid all of this to begin with. Looking back now, although I can say assuredly that the professor was not pleased with me to begin before this incident with due to a lack of empathy, this does not condone the actions I took. Honestly, I regret the decision I made as it was a weak one. I have come to realize that honoring academic integrity is one to follow and honestly is only to my benefit because it forces me to use my own brain using critical thinking to to succeed making me a better student overall than just use someone else’s work and gain nothing from it. From now on, I am determined to instill the values I have learned through this research and apply them to school as well as to enrich my own life. This is what I have come to learn about concerning academic
