Content is whenever students show they have knowledge based off North Carolina Standard Course of Study. One example that shows that I have exceeded North Carolina Standard was when I passed my Accuplacer Placement Test. Back in high school there was a requirement for everyone to take four part of the Accuplacer Placement Test. These four parts of the Accuplacer Placement Test included reading, sentence structure, math, and elementary algebra. Before someone can take college courses, they must pass the Accuplacer Placement Test. I was fortunate enough to pass the Accuplacer between my Freshman and Sophomore years of high school. There was a total of three aspects that helped me pass these tests. They were organization, focus, and memorization. Organization was one of the main aspects that helped me pass my Accuplacer. Since there were a total of four parts to the Accuplacer, I had to be organized. This meant that I had to know what I had to study for. During my Sophomore year of high school, I had to finish three out of the four parts of the Accuplacer in one sitting. They were reading, math, and elementary algebra. I made sure that I was focused in order to pass all of these three parts of the Accuplacer. In order to do this, I had to have been mentally prepared. I made sure I had a good breakfast and a good night's rest before I took the exam. By doing this, I was able to stay focused throughout all three parts of my Accuplacer Tests. As the years went by, I began to understand how useful this technique was. Whenever there was a big test ahead of me, I made sure I was well nourished and rested.
