Administering Program Ministries & Administering Support Activities” Administering program ministries are not absolute or definite in the Bible, however, Robert H. Welch author of the book, “Creating Efficiency for Effective Ministry: Church Administration,” enumerates Scripture that is related. Namely, in the books of Romans, Corinthians, describes how various gifts of service knit together a functioning body by the Holy Spirit. Not to mention in the books of Acts, Timothy, and Titus we see a church organized about leadership positions and functional activities. Ministry Team- parking lot greeters, door openers, umbrella holders, shuttle bus drivers are critical for the church because they are the first impression. They move people from the outside of the church to the worship space. Welcome Center Ministry Team-information central for the church, helps to get to the worship center, Bible study, nursery etc. Usher Ministry Team-plays major role in safety and security to worshippers, seating, provide an order of service of worship, receive tithes and offerings. Ordinance Ministry Team-ensures the water is warm for baptism, provide appropriate and clean robes, towels, a private space to dress, assist individuals through the rites, the Lord’s Supper, depending on the beliefs of the church. Music Ministry Team-associated closely with worship, works closely with the senior pastor in the development of scheduled worship services, worship leaders, choir, director, pianist, organist and other instrumentalists (Welch 311-314). In my opinion, there should be programs to meet the specific needs of churches and Christian organizations that connect to the real world. Moreover, programs that will strengthen the faith of new believers as well as the seasoned believers.
