Adnan Syed is not guilty of killing Hae Min Lee. On January 13th. The biggest evidence used against Adnan was the cell tower records that matched. However, with that, a big chuck is missing when overlooking the trial at the payphone call around 2:37. The cell tower records and the payphone at best. For one, there was no payphone at Best Buy. That makes the phone call Jay says Adnan made from that phone to pick him up from Best Buy never actually happened. Neither could track down records from that far back.” This quote is proving that the payphone didn't exist, but the fact is that in Jay's testimony he claims that Adnan called him from the payphone at 2;37 to pick him up as he just killed Hae Min Lee. However, because that payphone is non-existent, Adnan never called Jay when he was done with the killing, from the best buy ‘payphone.’ Another point to prove Adnan's innocence is that the “witness” Jay was not a trusted source of information, nor was he reliable to tell the truth. Jay’s story was the main story used by the cops and detectives to first convict Adnan. However, Jay's story changes between the first time he told the detective and the first time he was in the trial.
