Her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, was targeted for the killing, and arrested. Her body was later found in Baltimore, Maryland, at Leakin Park. Syed was sentenced to life in prison, plus 30 years. There has been a back and forth misconception on who really killed Hae, but from evidence, Adnan is innocent. Adnan is backed up with key evidence to prove his innocence, such as Jay’s inconsistencies with his story, Asia’s letters, and the new DNA samples.
