Last year the local government of my small town, Mclendon Chisholm, deliberately Increased the property tax by 15% without the consent of citizens, and the furtive city council and mayor were both accused of corruption and using the money for their own benefits (e.g. Taking long priceless vacations) . One citizen-- a Robert Steinhagen--Created this website where he wrote articles about the political situation in Mclendon Chisholm; his doctrine won over the people of the town and with much hard work and perspiration he and his running mates took
On May 6th, 1861 , Arkansas made one of the most idiotic choices it has ever made, it succeeded from the union. When the original vote took place , five delegates voted to not join the confederacy , but when asked to retake the vote, all but one had suddenly changed their mind. How would they so easily change their minds , probably because something else other than a convincing argument had been involved. All but one man said we should secede, so Arkansas did what the majority voted, but just because there is a majority, doesn’t make it right. Arkansas was in a extremely tight spot during the decision and that definitely impacted the final choice.

The Effects of the Yuma Project and other Purchases Projects such as the Yuma project, greatly influenced the everyday life of citizens around the yuma and imperial areas. Considering improvements in irrigation greatly helped with funding for the entire area as well as allowing for farmers to water their crops more easily. But it would also make trading goods through riverways a lot more harder or not possible at all. As well as although the different projects leveled a lot of land for irrigation to be set. Irrigation changed the south western part of Arizona by the way of increasing our knowledge for agriculture which would help grow our crops in which would return with a massive surplus of funding .
The Ups and Downs of the Cherokee Tribe Did you know that the Cherokee Nation is one of only three federally recognized tribes that has the sovereign right to control their nation? That means that they have the right to control what goes on within their nation, despite the states government. Although the tribe may be doing well today, that hasn’t always been the case. The Cherokee Tribe had to overcome many obstacles and heartaches. Shortly after the first Cherokee entered the state in the vicinity of Travelers Rest in 1450, the Cherokees were put through many challenging times.
The difference between small town, rural Iowa and urban Iowa is staggering. Compared to the big city, ‘everybody knows everybody’ in small towns-- especially with high school graduation classes that can be in the low thirties. But still, it’s hard to say that most rural Iowa natives wouldn’t like to be closer to a shopping mall or movie theater. On the other hand, many cityfolk are charmed by the idea of small town life. No matter how one looks at it, each part of Iowa has negatives and positives, and it’s important to learn these pros and cons before deciding where to live.
As the great mayor of Atlanta Reed has created a significant number of jobs, bringing Atlanta to rank number 2 in the nation for job growth, which resulted in exponential growth in the metro Atlanta populations. The writer tries to show us that Minnesotans are really nice to other people who came from another places. Also, he says that most of Minnesotans have enough friends, so they don’t need to make new friendships. I believe that it’s not that Minnesotans don’t want to make new friendships, it’s just that they need to trust the new people at first and they don’t want to broke their hearts. For instance, if they meet someone from outside of Minnesota, but he lives in it and he tries to join their life because they were too nice to him, but they don’t want him to join their life because they don’t trust him for some reason, they would actually try to keep away from him and they trust him truly (I know it’s a long example, but I don’t know if I explain
Situation: As a patrol officer, I am only doing my job when I stop a car for running a red light. Unfortunately, the driver of the car happens to be the mayor. I give her a ticket anyway, but the next morning I get a call into the captain’s office and told in no uncertain terms that I screwed up, for there is an informal policy extending “Courtesy” to city politicians. Several nights later, I observe the mayor’s car weaving erratically across lanes and speeding. What would you do?
Also, he needs to defend peoples’ rights like he mentions a story about an innocent man who got shot by the police and no one punished this officer. Instead, he is getting a raise every year. Harmond believes that No one is above the law and if he became a mayor, even the police misconduct will never be rewarded and all the people will follow the
