By combining Allen’s and Chamber’s ideas we can strengthen the way in which political education can promote these values. However, Chambers also raises important critiques of the current system of citizenship and democracy, which may limit the effectiveness of Allen's approach. One of Chambers' main critiques is that citizenship currently has exclusionary and unequal bounds. She argues that citizenship is often exclusive to certain demographics, which results in the exclusion of some groups from political participation and influence. Shultz made the students figure out an issue in their community that they would like to improve, and the students decided that they want a new school facility. He lets the students decide how they should go about getting this new school facility and as a result he gives the students the opportunity to examine their cultural backgrounds and how they have experienced being born into that culture. Today, this letter is sent to you to share my thoughts on the importance of civics education. During my civics class this year, I have learned various reasons why civics is a crucial part of our lives. Additionally, we are taught that it is critical for American citizens to learn about the effects of the government on their lives, as well as how the government operates.
A natural monopoly is defined as a single firm that offers a product or service (Study.com, 2015). This firm has very high fixed costs as a barrier to entry and derives most the benefits of economies of scale available to the whole industry (Study.com, 2015). Before 1984, long-distance phone service was only supplied by AT&T in the United States (FRASER, 2005). AT&T was holding the position as the only firm to supply long-distance phone services created the label of this service being a natural monopoly. The government has anti-trust laws in place to ensure these firms defined as natural monopolies cannot charge whatever they desire for the single point product or service as the public depends on these services (Study.com, 2015).

Political socialization is a life time process by people in which they form their own ideas and beliefs of politics and acquire political values. My political socialization was influenced by my family. However, the mass media and my future educational achievements and financial goals had created an impact on my political socialization. My political socialization is that my belief understanding of politics came from the time when I was a young teenager. It was when my family had taught me about understanding politics and what the meaning of it is.

There have been three main factors that have been major influences on my political ideology. These three factors are schools, peers, and mass media.
