What makes Troy Kenneth Aikman an interesting person? Aikman is an interesting person because he is a athletic, kind, and outstanding individual. He has a educational background, although sub staining injury conflicts and football made him famous. Born Troy Kenneth Aikman, November 21, 1966, in Cerritos, CA; son of Kenneth (an oil field worker) and Charlyn Aikman. His first love was baseball, and he later grew to be good enough at that sport that the New York Mets considered drafting him until Aikman told them he wanted to focus on football. Aikman had his best season ever, completing 64 percent of his passes for 3,445 yards and 23 touchdowns. Dallas finished the season 13-3, won the NFC east division title, and entered the playoffs on a roll. Aikman’s performance in the super bowl against the Buffalo Bills turned out to be one of the best of all time. Showing a steady hand under great pressure, Aikman led the cowboys to a 52-17 thrashing of the Bills, who lost their third straight Super Bowl Game. Aikman won the game’s Most Valuable Player Award after completing 22 of 30 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns. By the age of 27, Troy Aikman of the Dallas Cowboys won two Super Bowls. It was a feat that just five other quarterbacks had accomplished in NFL history. And none had done so as young as Aikman. A prototype quarterback at six-foot-four, 220 pounds, with a rocket arm, Aikman emerged in the early 1990s as one of pro football's brightest stars. With teammates like Emmitt Smith (also in newsmaker 94) and Michael irvin, he led the Cowboys to Super Bowl Victories in 1993 and 1994 and set records for post-season effectiveness.
