I am applying for Commissioning through the Seaman to Admiral-21 Program because of my unrelenting desire to grow on a personal and professional level. My personal goals are to earn bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Civil Engineering and after my commissioning I will then pursue a master’s degree and all certifications available to me. My professional goals are to live up to the Civil Engineer Corps standards, and complete all qualifications and certifications expeditiously, including Engineer in Training. Ultimately, my goal is to carry myself to the highest rank possible, support any mission to the best of my ability and continue to train the leaders of tomorrow, our Sailors. The quality and professionalism of the officers and senior enlisted I have served with give me confidence that, as a Naval officer, I will make an immediate impact on my fellow officers and junior Sailors by sharing the skills and knowledge I have acquired from the deck plates.
The consistent thread of service throughout my life has initiated my desire to serve with AmeriCorps. As a child, my life-long visions consisted of helping others. Around eight years old, I recall using information learned from a Girls Scouts camp to plan a campaign to help those in poverty. Years later, I committed to executing monthly community service projects. I spearheaded food drives in my local community and made jewelry for low-income women to wear during job interviews.
The United States is one of the largest agency/institution in the spectrum of American bureaucracies. As a bureaucracy the army has unique challenge of operating a large organization with accuracy and speed to respond to the demands of the modern battlefield. The United States Army was formed on June 14, 1775, and since then its primary goal has been the defense of the country and to achieve land dominance of the battlefield against any enemies of the United States. Originally formed as the Continental Army, it was created by an act of Congress during the Revolutionary War to fight the British forces and achieve American independence. In 1784 Congress authorized the United States Army to take the place of Continental army.
After I graduate high school, I stand determined to pursue my dream: to become a civil engineer and create hurricane-resistant infrastructure along the Gulf Coast. I plan to employ the four pillars of National Honor Society to better achieve my goals. In order to take the first step towards achieving my goals, I must first pursue scholarship, a commitment to learning. Knowledge illuminates the path to success. Without a commitment to my education, I will not graduate with the proficiency and competency necessary to enter the workforce.
My family consist one big sister and little brother. I 'm hardworking being part in multiple clubs and sports such as, National Honor Society, Youth Council of Laredo, the Football team and in a basketball team in the spurs league. Being in these clubs and sports showed me to be dedicated, hardworking, adapt, time management, team work, and most importantly help out the community. I have a special bond with my mom, she 's there when I need her. What I want to be when I grow up is become a surgeon.
Overall the 1-43rd Air Defense Artillery Battalion is a great organization within the Army. However, with any organization, there are going to be areas that can be improved. This is the reason we conduct after action reviews and DEOCS survey’s. They help us identify deficiencies, make corrections, and keep doing what works. If I could make improvements and changes to the way 1-43 ADA operates I would improve soldier care, communication, the way Physical Readiness Training is executed, and an overall understanding of how a battalion works together and not just air defense operations.
I would like to become an active member of Carrboro High School’s National Honor Society in order to benefit my community through service. I am immensely committed to serving and improving my community, as I have made distinctly clear with my 143 service hours. Through these service hours, I have focused on the improvement of the future community by helping disenfranchised refugee children coming from horrible living conditions in Western Africa, by teaching children about biology, chemistry, and scientific history, by preparing freshmen for their high school careers, by raising money to protect and aid voiceless animals hurt in car crashes and other human infringements, and by creating rain gardens, planting food crops, and decreasing Carrboro High School’s environmental
To become a member of the highly esteemed National Honors Society would mean that I have achieved my goal of being an archetype student for North Penn High School. To be blunt, I had stressed over applying for NHS for quite a while, but it was not until mid-way through the application process in which I realized my life is based around the qualities that the National Honor Society holds in high value. I have been yearning to be a part of this remarkable organization since I graduated my freshman year as an officer in NJHS. Since then, my time has been filled with countless volunteering and involvement in extracurricular activities. I am very passionate about what I become invested into, and I work at achieving my goals to the fullest.
I have always wanted to serve in law enforcement. It was something that I have wanted to do since childhood and I finally got my chance in 2012 at the age of 54. First, there was the academy, where I had to learn all the State and Federal laws to include the United States Constitution. Then it was off to the gun range to learn how to shoot tactically followed by defensive tactics. The final stage was learning how to apply and administer criminal procedures in accordance with my State requirements for Law Enforcement.

I feel that this will help you build better relationships with the other members in the unit. This will also help you by learning how to effectively become patient with people in helping them solve their problems. You should learn how to become more social and enthusiastic towards members. By you helping members in the unit solve their problems at the lowest level possible, they will not become bigger discipline problems.

As most people will advocate for someone who is close to them, I am no different. Veterans will always be a significantly cherished population to me. Not only have I served in the military; I have personally lost too many brothers and sisters to this honorable service. The biggest loss encountered however, was not lost while in combat, but his death that occurred later after returning stateside. 3 years ago SSGT Jonathon Rigsby died in his sleep due to hypertension, stress, and anxieties related to PTSD.
The National Center for Education Statistics made a projection in September of 2009 that 3.4 million students will graduate in the year of 2018. Of these 3.4 million students, 1.6% earn the title of Eagle Scout. I am an Eagle Scout. When I joined the Cub Scouts, my eight-year-old self anticipated joining my friends to wild adventures the way a recruitment poster hanging in the elementary cafeteria showed through its variety of colorful pictures.
Commitment, dedication, and motivation are the three most important values when joining the military. Background checks and months of training are required to ensure that the best is selected to stand strong as one for the best interest of all. Regardless of the requisites, hundreds of individuals devote their time to become part of the US military, unfortunately it is not meant for everyone. Even though the system tries to ensure that only the strong get chosen, it has been proven to be flawed. For example, ex-military personal, like Robert (Bowe) Bergdahl, have left base camps or leaked information to express their feelings towards the military.
An interview is much more than a simple question & answer session. It is a pursuit of information and knowledge that you can’t find in neither books nor journals. What you get out of an interview is the core of a human soul’s experiences in life. For my interview, I went for a person that can tell me about information that wouldn’t be found elsewhere. Being part of a specific field, it was quite hard knowing what to ask and what not to.
