One of the most famous and influential prisoner to be held at Alcatraz was Al “Scarface” Capone. By 20, he moved to Chicago and became one of the most powerful gangsters. Capone managed a popular nightclub, The Four Deuces, and was involved in bootlegging, prostitution, and gambling houses. He was responsible for multiple violent acts revolved around gangs. The most famous act was on February 14, 1929, also known at St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Although, no one was brought to trial for the deaths of seven men, the public immediately blamed Capone’s gang.
