I was very excited to start learning about Alchemy and more than a little nervous. I thought that there would be a lot of difficult chemistry and I would struggle to understand and follow the lessons. The first lesson really put my mind at ease. The picture of the TARDIS alone helped me to relax! My favourite part of this first lesson was the overview of what Noble and Base metals were. This was my favourite because I actually had no idea what metals we would be looking at with Alchemy and this really helped me understand a bit more about what the class would actual involve. I wrote about him in my research paper because I find him absolutely fascinating. Thanks to the Philosopher’s stone, Flamel was able to live until he was six hundred and sixty five. He got to live through so many changes in the world and for magic. If I could ask him any question I would ask him what his favourite time in history was and why? I think the lesson I preferred was Lesson five on Noble Metals. I enjoyed both of the lessons, but this was the lesson we discussed metals such as gold and silver. These are the metals we all think about when thinking about Alchemy. I was very interested to learn about Ruthenium as I had never heard of this metal before! I like the idea that this metal gives the witch or wizard a feeling of self empowerment when it is around. I think my favourite transition was Moon to Saturn as this can be used to potentially prolong someone’s life. This is something I am very interested in as I am fascinated by the changes over the years. My favourite planetary aspect is probably the Sun though, this is because the Sun is the centre of the Universe. It is quite literally the powerhouse of the Solar system. If I could study the aspects again, I wouldn’t change anything as I enjoyed the aspects and transitions I
