Introduction The telephone has changed peoples’ lives. It changed how we live and communicate with each other. Before the telephone, came a telegraph, then a big and heavy landline phone was invented, and finally to a lightweight wireless landline phone that we use today.
Invention
The inventor of the first phone is Alexander Graham Bell. Bell was a inventor born on March 3, 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1870, Bell moved to Canada. Two years later, he moved again to the United States. In 1872, Mr. Bell attended Boston University, and later on he was appointed professor of vocal physiology. He continued this job until 1876, when Bell invented the first telephone. A year later, Bell formed the Bell Telephone Company. In 1880, Bell resigned from the company and formed a researching company. Bell invented more things, besides the telephone. He continued to make the telephone better. Due to his inventions in the United States, Bell became a United States citizen in 1882. Bell continued his research until his death on August 22, 1922. He was 75 years old. (Harrison) Bell had a long history with the involvement of the telephone and other inventions. Mr. Bell formed Volta Laboratory for Research in 1880. The company was most used for telecommunication, phonograph, and other technologies. (Harrison)

The corded telephone was replaced by the cordless telephone. It then combined to a radio transmitter/receiver. The telephone had two major parts: the base and headset. The base received the calls. The base was attached to the phone jack. It converts the signal to FM Radio Signal. The headset receives the Radio Signal. It sent the signal to the speaker, which then converted the signal into sound. This sound would go to a second FM Radio Signal, which would travel to the base. This shows the scientific advances into the wireless landline phone. ("The Basics - How Cordless Telephones
