Twenty Two year old Alex is preparing to be deployed, and fight for his country. Growing up, Alex was born in a rough part of New York with little to nothing. He was an only child, however his parents were still struggling financially. Alex often felt lonely because he didn’t have siblings in the house with him like the other children. This pushed Alex to form a numerous amount of disposable friendships with his peers. He didn’t attend the best schools, but he still performed at his best. While in high school, Alex didn’t attempt to apply to colleges until it was too late. By the time, he realized he needed to further his education he was too late. Alex felt disappointed in himself because he procrastinated until the last minute. A few weeks before graduation he decided it was best for him to join the Army. Alex often felt lonely and decided that he might finally feel apart of something once he joins a group like the army. …show more content…

He didn’t like the way the Drill Sergeants talked down to him, and the others. He went through training and he was just trying to make it to graduation. While in training Alex meet Matt another young man from a similar background. Those two began to form a close bond while in the army and they even graduated together. When it was time the two young men both were deployed at the same time. The men worked together side by side every day to fight for this country, and to protect their group. They also made a promise to each other to never leave each others side no matter what
