The Different Child In the story All Summer in a Day, by Ray Bradbury a child named Margo had moved from Earth to Venus. She was always bullied for always talking about how great it was on Earth. Until the other kids had finally realized that what they did was horrible. The main character Margo is very different from the rest of the characters while she is from Earth and they are from Venus, she knows the look and feel of the sun, and how she doesn’t like the things they do on Venus. She had friends on Earth and on Venus, no one liked her. Furthermore, Margo knows and remembers what the sun looked and felt like. When she moved to Venus it was nothing but rain. She ended up talking a lot about the sun and how she loved the feeling. A few of the kids wouldn’t believe her and always accused her of not remembering what the sun was like, “You’re lying, you don’t remember!” No one would listen to her; they always thought she was a lair and they were rancor that she got to see the sun more. Although it was explicit that she remembered it. Finally, Margo doesn’t like the things they do on Venus. On Venus, they have to use a light to replace for the sun and they use it every day. It was their sun, Margo didn’t like it, and she wanted the real sun. There was a day when the real sun was coming out and the kids locked her in a closet so that she couldn’t see or feel the sun again. The Venus kids were too sophomoric. When the sun had gone away and it began raining again, a child remembered Margo was in the closet, “Margo!” They all ran to the closet to let her out.
