Margot’s Disease Many people confuse experiencing sadness with Melancholy disorder because Melancholia symptoms are very similar to real life. Margot used to live on the planet earth, but she ended up moving to Venus because of global warming. Margot is new in the school and does not know anybody there. Based on her change in mood from lack of sunlight and social issues, studies show that this disease can be treated. In “All Summer in a Day”, Margot experiences Melancholia based on her change in mood from lack of sunlight and social issues which various therapies and medications can treat. Margot is gonna have to do some things so she is gonna fix her Melancholia, some of the stuff she gotta do from now would be something like this: Margot is gonna have to go to psychotherapy sessions, 3 per week, all according to the text : (Getting Help for Melancholia - GoodTherapy), which says “Psychotherapy is likely to focus on managing symptoms rather than exploring why a person is depressed”. Margot is gonna also has to take 2 antidepressants pills every day, Margot is gonna takes 1 electroconvulsive therapy once per week; that’s mostly the medical treatment, now Margot also has a social treatment, she is gonna have to go for a walk for 10 to 15 minutes every 2 days, she gotta try to make friends at school, this is gonna help her a lot, since she is gonna have more people to help her to make her feel happy, the most compelling evidence of it is from (6 Scientific Reasons Why Your Friends Do Make You Happier), which says that “Interacting with more people even casual acquaintances gives people a sense of belonging and makes them feel happier If she has friends at school”. Friends are gonna defend her, and Margot is gonna have friends to help her daily.
