There are presently some issues with the current education system in America, and there are some changes that need to be made. In order to make these changes, some sort of new technology needs to be implemented. There is a great amount of evidence supporting that alternate reality games could be this new grand technology that is needed. Alternate reality games are a very realistic and possible way to help improve the education system and provide and easier and more exciting way of learning. There is an abundance of advantages that alternate reality games could bring to America pertaining to education. Alternate reality gaming is constantly growing and developing new ideas and platforms, making it so there are even more possibilities for benefits it can provide towards the world. In alternate reality games the player is engaged in a series of challenges within a compelling narrative (Whitton et al.). In alternate reality games the player might be completing tasks in real life in order to achieve things or advance in the virtual world. The player could be on the computer making a character, and later be outside carrying out different actions in the real world to advance their character on the computer.
