A mission statement describes the purpose for the company and its target market. The mission statement is used to guide the company and motivate employees. It talks about how the company will get where it wants to be and it defines the goals relating to customers’ needs and team values. The Alzheimer’s Association mission statement is, “To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.”.

The Alzheimer’s Association has been the leader in advocating, research, and support. To continue to strengthen their global leadership position they have committed to do much more within the next ten years. The association developed a three-part strategic plan. Their vision statement is, “ A world without Alzheimer’s disease”. …show more content…

This vision, and this first of three strategic plans to accomplish it, sets clear milestones for the Alzheimer's Association to accelerate progress.
