Amelia Earhart was a famous female pilot who set numerous records in women’s aviation. Compelled by her love for flying, and the belief that women could do what men could do, Earhart did not give up even when faced with many professional challenges, set-backs and obstacles. Earhart’s accomplishments were driven by her courage and bravery. In analyzing the “Biography of Amelia Earhart” and “Amelia Earhart: Life and Disappearance” it is discovered that both articles clearly support and demonstrate Amelia’s bravery in reaching for her goals.

Earhart’s bravery and desire for excitement are what sparked her interest in flying planes. “The Biography of Amelia Earhart” describes a young Earhart as standing her ground and feeling “a mixture of fear and pleasure” as a stunt plane takes a dive at her. Having the bravery to face her fears, and act in a manner that was true to herself, is something that was seen repeatedly throughout her life.
