He is an assistant professor. His certifications and professional memberships include ATC, ACSM, and American Society for Bone and Mineral Research. All of the children that live in America are entitled to a free public education. A lunch is provided that costs a reduced fee for those who attend a public school. Every day, thousands of kids attend school and mindlessly eat this lunch. A lunch that is full of frozen, processed foods that all share the same unpronounceable chemicals in their ingredient list. I personally believe that if schools started to add more natural, fresh, whole foods into their lunches it would be helpful to our societies growing obesity epidemic.
“The Obesity Epidemic in the United States”, is a scholar journal that was published in 2004 by Allison C. Morrill and Christopher D. Chinn to address the causes and consequences of this emergent epidemic of obesity, which has only recently been recognized. Emphasizing the severe effects of being obese and how rapidly this prevailing issue is spreading, the authors urge their audience to take action in preventing obesity for themselves and the people around them. The two authors of this scholarly journal use several statistics, factual information, and in-depth tables to thoroughly cover the causes and effects of the obesity epidemic throughout the United States, but the lack of ethos takes away from the effectiveness of the article.
The United States is suffering from an obesity epidemic and the problem is not going away any time soon. Why? For starters, we have become a nation obsessed with instant gratification. We no longer have to walk to the video store, we can order Net Flix, which comes in the mail and all you have to do is mail it back when you are done! So instead of burning 30 calories by walking a few blocks to Block Buster, we become couch potatoes.
Obesity has been a major problem in America for a long time every since junk food and fast food came into play. Now in America there is 78.6 million obese adults and counting (CDC). Obesity can lead to heart disease, stroke and even type 2 diabetes if worse enough. The estimated obesity medical bill was over 147 billion dollars in United States this shows that when you get obesity that is why you should stay active and eat more healthy foods. Obesity can be prevented by being active and getting enough exercise, eat healthy foods and try to stay away from junk food, finally reduce screen time and find other things to do than watching television.
Athletic Training is practiced by athletic trainers. Athletic trainers treat and prevent injuries that are most of the time caused by athletic involvement. In the future Marsha would like to be an Athletic Trainer for The University of Wilmington. She wants to help athletes play to their best ability by ensuring the prevention to injuries and giving them immediate care.
Why, why we should workout? Some might think is it necessary to make our body suffer all these pain. Workout is something more than intensive exercise but it is a healthy lifestyle that will affect all of us in a tremendous way either physically, mentally or emotionally. Heidenreich and others wrote the article the Forecasting the Future of Cardiovascular Disease in the United States, and the article is talking about the expected outcomes of CVD to the public and the expected money that AHA will provide to help resolve cardiovascular disease. Will it ever be solved though? People are now exposed to many fast food restaurants that are linked to obesity, and obesity is one of the causes of cardiovascular disease. AHA predicts that in 2030, “40.5 % of the US population is projected to have some form of CVD” (934).
Caregivers Aiding with Diabetes Diabetes is a serious issue but in the 21st century it is not a the terrible prognosis it was years ago. Today, once identified, a person with diabetes can live a full, happy, and healthy life. Caregivers for those with diabetes can do a number of things to assist their loved ones. One of the most important things you can do for your senior loved one is to show understanding and compassion.
Exercising is a physical activity in which the body makes exertion in order to enhance physical fitness and health. By doing exercises it does not mean slow and simple walk; however, it has to be in a way that the body start sweating. For instance, running and cycling are the important exercises that the human should do to ensure keeping the body healthy and fit. Therefore, find some time about 30 minutes per a day to do exercises.
