Walt Disney was one person who was greatly impacted by the free enterprise system, and who greatly impacted the buisness world. Ho was not only the pioneer of animation, but he has built two multi-million dollar theme parks, that many people today enjoy and come from all over the world to see. Most people think that you have to be rich and have lots of money to become an entrepenur, but many people start off with nothing at all, that was the case with Walt Disney. He started off with nothing, living out of his office and eating cold beans before he became the successful entrepeneur he is today. "if you can dream it, you can do it," was a quote Walter lived by an it must have been a big help in getting him where he needed to be, but he didn't
Disney World was a world full of sunshine and smiles during the day, but at night that all changed… The Disney Villains became heroes, and the heroes became villains. What happened you may ask, the queen Maleficent happened. She had put a curse on everything and everyone at Disney World. It just so happened that I was there at the time.
In 2013, Disney’s animated series once again returned with a hugely popular movie, Frozen, and was estimated to had grossed $150,000,000 globally. The story is about a young princess – Anna – on the quest to search for her elder sister – Elsa – who has used her ice manipulation power to freeze the whole nation and change the weather to eternal winter. There are many relationships in this movie, which makes Anna and Elsa’s relationship seem like a bad choice to examine interpersonal relationship, due to the fact that they do not talk and interact to each other as often as the other characters. However, their relationship can be interesting when viewed in communication theories, because the whole movie is about how the protagonist and antagonist escalate and resolve their conflict despite the lack of interaction. Owning to that, this essay will explore these main ideas:
According to an article in the British Journal of Psychology (1997), individuals participated in experiments that allowed them to view a slanted circular disc that was made of radiant material and placed in a dim room (Taylor & Mitchell). When attempting to match a computerized image of the item, they failed because of their knowledge of circles. In this case, it seemed that the acquired information affected their judgment so they did not trust what they saw. Additionally, other studies have shown that children "draw what they know to be present instead of what they see from their current perspective" (Taylor & Flavell, 1984). In both cases, these individuals utilized their perceived knowledge of reality to interpret their sensory experiences even though it was misleading.
Creativity is an important skill that everyone should use continuously. In the short story, The Cat in the Hat, it shows two kids who are home alone and don't have the creativity to think of something to do, until the Cat in the Hat shows up and presents his creative thoughts on having fun. In the article, "Why Nurturing Creativity in Kids is so Important", explains to us about how creativity is needed in everyday life and why everyone should be encouraged to use it. The text’s The Cat in the Hat and "Why Nurturing Creativity in Kids is so Important", prove that in order for a person to be creative minded, creative thinking must be encouraged.
The movie that I have seen in the past month that I decided to write about was Disney’s Maleficent. The version that I will be discussing about is the 2014 version, not the 1959 version. Which is also known as Sleeping Beauty from which Walt Disney created himself while he was alive. The aspect of that I will be focusing about from the film will be about the overall effects in the film. I was astonished with how all the effects looked in the film, that came from 3D computer-generated imagery.

The American director, Tim Burton has a way with manipulating lighting, camera angles, and music to highlight his quirky, yet dark style of movies. Tim uses camera angles to direct the viewers’ vision to a specific setting or character to expose something from a certain character’s point of view. For example, in Tim’s movie, Big Fish, he has a low angle of Karl the Giant. The use of this cinematic technique is to emphasize Karl’s height, especially compared to Edward Bloom’s. Another employment of camera angles is in Burton’s Edward Scissorhands, when Kim was in the window of the inventor’s mansion, they had a low angle of her, which was used to show here as the townspeople below saw her.
The Walt Disney company does not only have an immense amount of economic power on the American entertainment industry and popular culture, but they have acquired influence across the world. The company has recorded that one quarter of the 45 billion dollars Disney makes annually comes for the international market (Hongmei). It can be said that Disney is one of the best-known companies or brands in the worlds and covers a wide range of markets from films to television programs, to merchandise and publishing not to mention the theme parks. However, the inspiration to expand globally does not completely rest on income and to promote capitalism within the company. In some circumstances the marketing decision is more political than economical.
An experience that was meaningful to me was the time that my entire family and I went to Disney from July 1st,2010 to July 14th,2010 it was such a great experience. Jumping with excitement the first time that I found out (Participle). It was going to be my first big trip with my mom’s boyfriend who is now my dad. This was a trip that was holding such a big surprise at the end of it.
