The reading titled “Advice to Writers~Selected Quotes from William Zinsser” provides many aspiring writers with 10 tips from a well experienced writer. One particular quote that stood out to me is “ Read everything you write out loud for rhythm and sound: “Good writers of prose must be part poet, always listening to what they write.” The quote means that as writers we have to make sure the sentence has a good flow just like poetry so it becomes easy for the readers to understand our point of view or paint a picture for them. This quote stood out to me because I can relate to times in my past creative writing process where I have been in the middle of writing down a thought and suddenly another idea comes to my mind and I write it down
