The sound is a very important part of this animated feature. Disney is normally known for musicals so the characters can break out into song. Disney and Pixar reached a compromise that the film would use songs over the action to convey and amplify the emotions that the characters were feeling. For example, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” is one of the most recognizable songs in Disney history. During the movie, this song is portrayed showing Andy’s friendship with his toys as well as the new friendship between Buzz and Woody.
