E. E. Cummings poem “since feeling is first” starts with the author talking to the reader as a love interest in which the author is trying to persuade into not over-analyzing the moment, but to live in it instead. Cummings starts the poem off with suggesting that nobody can kiss you as passionate as someone who lives in the moment. Cummings proceeds to persuade the love interest in the next four stanzas, therefore, allowing the idea to form that he is conveying to the reader to live life and not overthink it. When he uses the word parenthesis in the context of death to say it is not something to think about after because life can come to an end and you can regret not cherishing what you had. The article talks about the plot of the poem and mentions that a person who only pays attention to things and only engages in a relationship with the decent order will not connect with their partner as passionately as someone who does not. “Live Love” (the GIF) wants to show the audience that they should live while they still can, to love while they still breathe because if they were to stop to think about that moment suddenly the moment will be no more leaving them to feel despair or empty.
