Are We Living In Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451? After reading the article Are We Living In Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 I have come to the conclusion that I do agree we are living in Fahrenheit 451 for many reasons. Over the past couple of years many people have forgotten what real communication is all about, it is not about tweeting and texting to each other it is all about real face to face interaction. According to the article it states that “similar kinds of arguments about the dangers of the web and social media” (Ingram 2) have also been made.
Journal #3 Novel Study Fahrenheit 451 Set in the futuristic world controlled by media, Fahrenheit 451 tells the story of the protagonist Montag, a fireman whose job is to burn book, his search for knowledge and self-identity. Books are considered illegal and banned because they make people think and question. I feel sympathy for Montag as his wife does not have any emotional attachment to him as she only care about her “family” on the parlor walls and betrayed Montag by reporting to the firemen that he has books in his possession. Montag also faces numbers of obstacles in his journey for self-identity. Fahrenheit 451 shares many similarities of the setting in the novel The Giver.
A large majority of books use many types of literary elements and devices. An example of a literary device is imagery; the five senses. This is one of the most descriptive types of writing as it conveys what the character is feeling or smelling. It’s a more human way of writing in some ways. In the book Fahrenheit 451, the character Montag has a large amount of internal struggle throughout the book.

While reading the novel Fahrenheit 451, i realized the author, Ray Bradbury described the role of censorship by putting together the personal freedom that one person has, to the freedom of expression that person was giving. Bradbury describes the right of the First Amendment and the rights we have as a human being. The First Amendment is about the freedom of speech that one person has for themselves. Once a man named Justice Holmes, said the meaning of the First amendment was “freedom for what we hate.” A role of censorship was played by sending a very direct or forward message that tells readers what may or may not happen if they allow the government to take control of what they do or do not read.
“If they give you ruled paper, write the other way.” -Juan Ramon Jimenez. Things are lead the wrong way when technology becomes more developed. There are a lot of things that are changed, and the change is not for the better. People are just to in sync to notice that things aren’t right at all.
In my student selected novel some of the technology is still used today one of them being the rifled barrel of a gun the soul purpose for this war to give the bullet more accuracy and range one of the major downsides to these guns were they took a bit longer to reload which back then really matters, my novel was placed in the american revolution and back then they way we fought was to get in a line and don't fire until fired upon but we were very outnumbered so we had to think of new technology and that ended up being the rifled barrel. this next technology is not really a technology but an improvement of how we fight, since we were out numbered we made a new tactic called guerrilla warfare, so instead of lining up and firing when fired upon
There have been many recorded attacks on colored people in the history books. Trayvon Martin was a colored seventeen year old from Miami and was fatally shot by George Zimmerman. The murder of Trayvon Martin was a big spark in the movement of Black Lives Matter also known as #BLM. The #BlackLivesMatter movement has been spreading all around the world for around 3-4 years and was initially created after the murder of Trayvon Martin by Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi. The killing of Trayvon Martin had near to no reason behind it.
Fahrenheit 451 is a book that tells a story of one fireman called Montag, the story passes in one futuristic society where the books are prohibited and if they are found they are burned by the fireman. Most of the people in this society seems to be brainwashed and do not care to learn. During the story different people appear, showing how people in that society were. The book can be interpreted in several ways, but the way that seems more realistic is that the world in the future will be like this. I chose page 8 and 9 of the book fahrenheit 451, because it shows character building of Montag and Clarisse.
In the fictional novel "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury, the two character Montag and Clarisse, lived in the future where the government is corrupted. As time evolve and the world is changing, the sense of logic become twisted in this society. The world in "Fahrenheit 451" is a place where the idea of "firemen put fires out" appeared to be "long ago" (Bradbury 25). Firemen in this society no longer put out fire, but instead going to start them. The action of a firemen spraying "kerosene" over burning fire is described as an "amazing conductor playing all the symphonies" suggest that this society is twisted (Bradbury 2).
The Lost Society Fahrenheit 451 a novel written by Ray Bradbury that takes place in the future where society has changed over time. The society views many events as it's okay or nothing happened. When in reality they are blinded by many things that don’t make them care. It has changed everyone and no one feels for anything anymore; it’s a fake life. The society in Fahrenheit is lost because they have lost all important key parts of life and care nothing about the passage of life.
When education is discussed a big part of it is planning for the future. When this is being done it is important to think about how technology will come along. The book Fahrenheit 451 has a theme that is based on fireman who start fires rather then put them out and they do this by burning books. This book was written more than a decade ago. Some aspects of the theme of the book have come true.

Fahrenheit 451 –Analytical Essay There are a few common aspects of the setting of Fahrenheit 451, a book by Ray Bradbury and today’s society. Just like any books being burned in Fahrenheit 451, our government holds certain information as classified and does not let it out to the general public. Both societies use censorship as a way of limiting knowledge. Oversight and surveillance continue to be allowed at an alarming rate and was a part of Bradbury’s concerns. Fitting in and being "normal” or mainstream are not as accepted in either setting.
Juan Solis Writing Style in Fahrenheit 451. Ray Bradbury’s style in Fahrenheit 451 is unique, and it helps add to the story’s atmosphere and tone. Bradbury structures his sentences in such a way that it makes the described situation feel heavier, and more meaningful. His vocabulary adds a rich sense of imagery, this is also combined with his use of figurative language throughout, compliments it further. These things come together to form a type of style that’s powerful, bizarre, and even confusing at times.
