The main problem that James Madison addressed in Federalist 10, was the we shouldn’t remove factions within the government. Madison basically wanted control factions if they caused damage. We are a well knitted union because we have factions. Madison states within the essay that this faction was brought together by a passion that everyone shared. Madison didn’t believe in the two methods of removing of the factions. The two ways are "removing it causes" and the another is "controlling it effects". Madison clearly states that the removal of factions with this two methods will desecrate patriotism within our government. We cannot afford to lessen our liberty it makes it what the union is.
