Carol Dweck-a professor of psychology at Stanford University-informs readers of the two different mindsets that an individual applies when dealing with issues or challenges in the first chapter titled “The Mindset”, from her book Mindset: The New Psychology of Success in 2006. Dweck began her exploration when investigating the different techniques that individuals, especially children, use to deal with failure using various social test.
