In his article “Violent video games increase aggression,” Dave Larsen, a journalist for the Dayton Daily News, argues that playing video games can make people more aggressive over time. He supports this claim by first adding that the Ohio State University is the first experimental evidence that shows the negative effects of playing video games. Brad Bushman, the one who did the Ohio State study, says that the negative effects of playing video games happen in “three consecutive days [which children] showed increases in aggressive behavior and hostile expectations each day they played.” Children who play violent video games for three straight days are shown to have increased in aggressive and violent behaviors.
