The image suggests that violent content influences young people to act in anti-social ways. However it is a parent’s responsibility to censor the content that the child has access to. This image is not biased as it presents both parties equally. The image also does not display either the child or the adult in a positive light. It does, however, display both in a negative light. It displays them negatively as it shows the adult’s negligence to the fact that it is his parental duties to censor the games and material being handed to the child and by the suggestion that children can be influenced by violent games and commit crimes such as the school shootings. 2. The image in current discussion has pictorial and textual elements that help strengthen the correlation between violent video games and violence in schools such as school shootings. In the comic there is only three pieces of text. One of these is located near the child and reads: Cop Killer Rated M. This suggests that the parent is allowing his son access to content which is rated M and by Australian guidelines, should be kept from children until they are the age of fifteen which this child is clearly not.
