Analyzing My Reflection Of My Writing

After finishing my letter addressed to Mr. Robison, I was asked to evaluate the process I used while writing this. In this essay I will be addressing specific questions that lead me to critique and analyze my piece of writing. These five questions to be specific, are a reflection of my growth, improvement that needs to be addressed, defining a revision process, and what I still have to learn.
To begin with I would like to discuss what has changed since my first essay was written. For one, I've learned to cut words out and get to the point. Meaning I've realized the negative effect wordiness can have on a reader. This has been a breakthrough since it has gotten rid of most of my run-on sentences. To start with I find that my selection of diction needs improvement. I find myself using poor choices of words rather than finding something more suitable in a thesaurus. Another step I would like to take to improve my writing is to work through my grammar. What I mean by this is identifying awkward sentences, comma splices, and adding commas in appropriate places. These are my two main areas that are still calling for improvement.
After receiving feedback from the peer workshop for this particular essay I had found areas that needed improvements. For example, my use of pronouns and finding whether they were in agreement. This was important to recognize since it could make reading it seems off. For instance, if I had a singular pronoun such as the word "I" and then continued the sentence with a plural pronoun such as "they" that could sound awkward. Another lesson from the workshop is how to read my essay backwards; this was important because I was so familiar with my essay that reading it backwards showed me
