Do you ever dream of being comfortable with your money and loving your job at the same time? I have always wanted to go into a career and love what I do, while having a great salary. I love to help people who need assistance, helping someone not feel pain during surgery makes me interested. In addition, learning things along the way while I work as an Anesthesiologist would let me see how surgeons save lives. I also chose this career because I am so interested in how the body takes the anesthesia and how I can help millions. My highest interest in this career is the rush you get from a good or bad day at the hospital saving lives. Career Cruising shares that, when being an Anesthesiologist you will need to access patients’ medical histories and choose a type of anesthetic to use for the surgery. Also, you will need to inform the patients about the anesthetic and make sure the patient wakes up safely and for them to remain comfortable after the surgery. You will start with basic training to become a doctor. First, you will need to earn a bachelor’s degree. This will take about 4 years to complete this degree. You will need to take several required science classes. When applying for medical school, it will be very competitive. So, before students apply for medical school, some will complete their master’s degree. To apply to medical school, you will need to have good grades and high test scores. Next, it is important to note where to get training. To get the proper training to become an Anesthesiologist, you will need to choose from all the available 4 year colleges that have medical schools. The only college in Kansas that has a medical school is The University of Kansas (KU), the medical school is called University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC). This will be the college I will apply to, to achieve the requirements left. In addition, the length and cost of the training is an important consideration.
