Education in the country of Colombia has continued to be refined rampantly over the years ever since the 1960s. However, education is not equally accessible and the overall quality of education differs across regions and social classes. Mexico’s enrollment has shown advancements of more than eightfold in growth. In 1950 there were 3.25 million students, which has risen to 36.3 million students as of 2016. The authors mention that Mexico is faced with two conflicting tasks. Their main issue being having to determine their management of educational access while the number of students continues to increase. While on the other hand, the education department must continue to ensure educational excellence.
