CYBER BULLYING Over the past recent years, cyber bullying has been a major type of bulling in most adolescent in the US. On a research conducted by the National Crime Victimization Surveys (NCES) showed that 71.9% adolescents reported being bullied once or twice in the school year, 19.6% reported once or twice a month, 5.3% reported once or twice a week, and 3.1% almost every day. This is therefore as a result in increasingly use of technology in the 21st century amongst adolescents. Social Medias can have either a positive or negative impact on individual’s life depending on how they use or view it to be. Self-esteem is therefore how one sees him/herself to be. This can be in either a negative or in a positive way. A negative self-esteem is when a person sees him/herself to have a purposeless or meaningless life. By viewing themselves in such a way, they therefore go through both emotional and other psychological problems. On the other hand, a positive self-esteem leads to a good and healthy adolescent growth. This helps them in so many ways. They therefore sometimes develop something’s within them they might not have thought of due to their free-mindless behaviors. Individuals experiencing cyber bullying therefore has a low self-esteem.
