Are violent role playing video games with simulated violence perilous or diverting for kids and teens? Many parents may ponder when trying to get there kids a new video games or they even wonder this as they play the games and yell,”Shoot out!” or say,” I’m looking for a good massacre early.” These quotes are from a high school student playing a role-playing game. Although Many may argue that these violent games are bad for kids and teens to play, others disagree. Saying that it is okay for kids and teens to play these games because role playing games with simulated violence are diverting for them. A US study found no bond between violent video games and youth violence on a long term basis. The research was lead by psychologist Christopher Ferguson and published in the Journal of Communication.
