Over 100 million animals are used as test subjects in the world, with approximately 26 million of them in the United States. Sadly, a majority of the time the products that are being tested on animals are not even effective once human trials begin. Consumers might object that if the products were tested to be safe on animals then they would be safe for humans. Yet, 92% of the times the products actually work in animal trials they are later deemed too dangerous or uneffective for people. Which means that most of the animals used in scientific testing are being abused for no apparent reason.
This means that there were many more animals that year that were used for experiments that were harmed. For the animals some labs don't even count rats or birds when they are calculating for all of the animals either. With that being said animal experimentation should be banned. Animal experimentation is bad science. It turns out that animal testing isn't as accurate as people think it is.
Animal testing is cruel, unjust, and wasteful, and it needs to stop. It is used to test cosmetics, to gain scientific knowledge, and for tests in schools. The Humane Society states that animal testing is tests performed on live animals for basic biology, medicinal, safety, or health research. Even small procedures have the capabilities to cause the animal high stress or discomfort. Some animals are used in future experiments, but most are killed soon after the tests.
Why Animal Testing is Wrong The human race has greatly benefitted through the use of animals. They have not only been a great form of companionship for people, but have also helped with the success in the world of medicine. For many years, the rights of animals and animal experimentation have been up for debate on whether or not it should be legal. Some may find that animal testing has led to major advancements in the medical world and that it is a small price to pay to save millions of lives, but others believe it is inhumane and that animals should be given the same rights as humans.
Since the existence of man there will always be issues and problems. One ethical problem that I can not fathom is animal testing. Animal testing is one issue I wish I could solve, for many reasons. Animals deserve rights, even though they can’t speak. The ways animal testing is conducted is not humane.

Not testing animals will not help us get cured and test results. Animals testing should not be used because of cures, cruelty, and costs. It has been stated that animals should be used in researching and testing because they cure us.

Over the years animals were used to be tested on medical treatments, products for human uses, health care, and etc. The practice of researching on living animals has started since 500 BC. Opponents of this act say that it is cruel to experiment on animals, there are other methods available to replace the cruel act of experimenting on living animals, and that the human bodies and animal’s bodies are totally two different features and the research often yields irrelevant results. The federal Animal Welfare or AWA passed the animal testing act in 1966 and amended in 1970, 1976, and 1985.

Personally I believe that the experimentation on animals for scientific and medical should not be stopped.
