Argument Analysis: Improving State's Economy

Argument states that re-electing Adam’s would lead to improved state’s economy and as per a recent poll the author believes that the economy is likely to improve if Adam’s is elected. The author also says that if Zebulon, who is Adams opponent, is elected then it will be a wrong decision as he disagrees with many of Adam’s economic policies. But the argument has certain flaws without which it cannot be evaluated. The argument makes unsubstantiated assumptions without any clear evidences. It also omits important considerations which are necessary to get a 360-degree view of the described scenario. But most does not indicate a number. If it is a city, then most must include a majority of people out of the total voting strength. Here most can be 80 out of a 100 people which does not take into account the entire voting strength. Also it does not define the type of poll which was conducted and also it does not state where the poll was conducted. If it was an online poll, it is likely that a few amongst the total voting strength surf on the internet daily to participate in the poll. Moreover, the author says that if Zebulon, who is the opponent of Adam, is elected then it would be a wrong decision as Zebulon disagrees with Adam’s economic policies. But who decides whether the economic policies of Adam are right or not? Is it the people of the city or just his own party workers and supporters, is the question. This is an understatement. It might well be true that Adams was governing in favourable conditions while Zebulon’s economic policies might prove good considering the changes in economy that are likely to take
