One of the biggest debate that has been going on for a century and a half is the debate on if evolution is true or not. It has caused two sides to go against each other, and hasn’t been resolved. The two main sides are the creationists, and the evolutionists . The debate was started by one man named Charles Darwin, who claimed a new theory that goes against multiple religious beliefs. Creationist believe that god created everything perfect. On the other hand, evolutionists claim that all living creatures evolved from a common ancestor. Though, one side has remained victorious. That side is the evolutionists. Evolution is true because of vestigial body parts, transitional fossils, and genetical scars and similarities.
The first reason why

The past decades, our knowledge of genes has skyrocketed, which led to more proof of human evolution. One thing that proves this is genetical scars. Scars are known for leaving reminders of when we got hurt, and genetical scars also work this way. They don’t necessarily hurt us, but they remind us of our past. This usually occurs when some DNA has been removed from us, and creates a reminding scar for us. They are usually passed on from your ancestors, but it could go very fa. If a chimpanzee has these sudden deletions of DNA, they will pass this on. This usually will not pass on if it damaging, but if it is neutral or helpful it can pass on. Usually we can see what animals have the scars and which don’t which can show us when we got these scars. Also, our DNA our parent gives us can prove evolution too. We are told we are given 50/50 from our parents. But what you are probably not told is that we get approximately 70 bases changed per generation. This causes for minuscule changes, which leads to similarities between animals. But over millions of years, big changes occur. A shock to you might come as the fact that we share 60% of our DNA with flies. This might seem unreal at first, but going deeper might make more sense. Flies have different digestive systems than humans compared by size and shape. But in the end, we share very alike digestive system in uses. Flies use their stomachs for digesting, they use small intestines for sucking out nutrients and most of the other organs do the same thing. Flies might be super unnatural to us, but we are very alike to them. So the last reason evolution is true is because of genetical
