Sex-bots As your typical hormonal teen, I was undeniably intrigued with sex. But I wasn’t engrossed in the actual deed- I was absorbed in whether sex robots could successfully reduce the number of sex trafficking victims. My AP Seminar class was the culprit behind my growing curiosity towards this question. We had just covered a unit on technology, and we were forced to compile a list of professions which technology couldn’t replace. It was during this exact moment when I wondered whether technology could replace sex workers. I decided to conduct some preliminary research, and what I discovered was startling. Asides from learning that sex work was the world’s oldest profession, I learned how countless of individuals had become victims to this industry.
